This year’s site visit will be to Boliden Tara Mines in Navan Co. Meath. Boliden Tara Mines is Europe’s largest underground zinc mine. It uses some of the world’s most modern systems and equipment to discover, extract and process over 2.4 million tonnes of ore annually. The visit will be limited to 30 people. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Boliden Tara Mines is a working mine. The following is an approximate schedule and subject to change:

09:00 | Underground tour, surface tour or presentation (3 teams rotate)

15:00 | Depart Tara
16:00 | Arrive in Dublin
